Banished Cross Fire

This weekend we went to Camp Patmos for Banished, one of the weekend retreats. For chapel we learned about the armor of God.

Friday we played “Fiery Darts”. The bad guys try to hit the “unprotected” parts of your body, your legs under your knees. If they succeeded you were “frozen” until two “Christians” help put you into the box of redemption then you help other frozen people. Saturday we played cross fire laser tag, (you try to capture a box by shooting at it.)

Tubing

Racheal and I went tubing a few Sundays ago, it was very fun. Uncle Dave took us. Mom and Dad went next unfortunately they did not fly off the tube and then Adrian went and he flew off but he got back on.

The next day I went back to camp, at camp my cabin leader’s name was Megan too. We went tubing four times and the last time Megan flew off the tube I am glad I was in the middle otherwise I would have flown off too

Bubble Ball

We played Bubble Ball. The goal is to not to be knocked down, and to knock the other player down. Mark and Adrian could beat me, but I beat Katie once. They are bigger, heavier and have more mass than I do. It was fun.

Klaus enjoyed watching me beat his mom, he thought it was hilarious.

Chocolate Sausage

Today is World Chocolate Day! We made some chocolate sausage. Momma let me experiment with how I made mine.

Mix together:

  • 2/3 c crushed Oreos
  • 3/4 c pretzel pieces
  • 1/2 c pecans or walnuts

Melt by your favorite method:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 3 Tbl butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • With wax paper, form into sausage shape.
  • Refrigerate till firm.
  • Dust in powdered sugar if you want.
  • Cut into slices.

Next time I want to replace the milk with peanut butter (probably 1/3 c?) to see how that works 🙂

Optional: Replace any of the crunches with other favorite crunchies, or use your favorite flavored chocolate.

Momma posted her recipe here.
